The Allotments Association

The allotments are situated in Rectory Road near the Village Hall. A sub-committee in conjunction with the Village Hall Management Committee administers them.

Over 60s Club

over60sThe Over 60s Club has been running for other 50 years and meets on the first Wednesday of the month in the Village Hall from 2.00 p.m. until 4.30 p.m. Members enjoy demonstrations, talks and games afternoons and two outings a year, taking place generally in May and September.

Membership is limited to residents of Stisted, anyone who attended the village school or was born in the village or their respective partners.

There is a small membership fee and all new members are welcome.

Stisted Bowls Club

bowlingThe aims of the club are to promote carpet bowls in Stisted and the near parishes. The club is open to all ages and abilities; the only dress required is a pair of flat sole trainers or shoes. There is an annual membership fee and a charge per night when you practice.

The club meets in the Village Hall every Tuesday in the month from 7.00 p.m. to 10 p.m. (except when playing Away matches). The club belongs to the County Carpet Bowls Association and plays in the County League in addition to many other competitions. It has been very successful in both, winning many trophies.

Stisted Women’s Institute

wiMeetings are held in the Village Hall on the second Wednesday in each month at 7.30 p.m.

New members are always welcome and the aims of the organisation are to provide an opportunity to meet in a friendly atmosphere, to develop new skills, discuss issues of the day and to attend a variety of talks and demonstrations.
